There are a host of other beautiful beaches within 10 minutes drive such as Tauranga Bay, Te Ngaere, Wainui, Mahinepua and Matauri Bay. Surfers will enjoy Takou Bay (a 30 minute drive) or Ahipara (less than an hour away).

There are lots of great coastal walks nearby and plenty of great sightseeing within an easy drive such as Whangaroa, Mangonui, Kerikeri, Bay of Islands and Cape Reinga.

Mangonui, Kerikeri & Paihia all offer shopping, sight seeing and dining choices.
